Intimate Micro Wedding, St Mary’s Islington, London • Abi & Nic
IF YOU’RE PLANNING A MICRO WEDDING AT ST MARY’S ISLINGTON, THIS BLOG POST IS FOR YOU!
The day started at Abi and Nic’s apartment for some super laid back bridal prep (my favourite!) Abi’s mum was already there when I arrived and her brother came over with his wife and two children, who Abi affectionally name ‘The Darling’s’. A’s niece and nephew were very impressed by their headdress and button hole by Arta’s Flowers London.
The Ceremony venue was a short car ride away at St Mary’s Islington. It was a stunningly beautiful and very well lit church (which is extremely important for us photographers!) I think Nic was absolutely blown away by Abi, judging by his face in the majority of the photos at least! After confetti A+N had organised tea and cake which was a really lovely idea, and gave them time to relax and mingle with their Ceremony guests!
Behind St Mary’s Islington there is a lovely little garden so after tea and cake, we popped round the corner for their couples portraits, then it was off to the Reception which was a short walk away at at Radici, a gorgeous Italian restaurant. I got some great shots of everyone walking and A+N even tried to replicate the Beatle’s Abbey Road shot, which made for some amazing photos!
